Careful selection procedure for rental properties

At DOEN NVM Makelaars, we strive for a careful, fair and transparent selection procedure for rental properties. We believe in equal opportunities for all prospective tenants and follow a roadmap that ensures this.

Viewing - First come, first served

Every interested party is given an equal opportunity to view the property. Our selection
procedure starts with the "first come, first served" principle, viewings are scheduled in order
of entry into our organisation. This ensures a fair start, with everyone getting a chance to
view the property.

Providing of documentation

Prospective tenants who are interested are asked to provide documentation. This includes
at least proof of income and a copy of identity proof in line with AVG law.

All required documents should be provided in one file, making the process efficient and
structured.

Assessment of documentation

At DOEN NVM Makelaars, we assess prospective tenants based on supplied documents
and creditworthiness.

It is explicitly emphasised that origin or religion never plays a role in our assessment. We
only look at the combination of the documentation and the financial situation of the
prospective tenant.

If our assessment is positive, we advise the owner to proceed with the candidate in
question; nevertheless, the final decision rests entirely with the owner.

Drawing up rental agreement

After a positive assessment, the rental agreement is drawn up. Conditions are clearly
communicated and we are open to questions and clarifications.

If a candidate is rejected, we will make this known to the candidate. We will also motivate
why the chosen candidate was chosen.

Key transfer and inspection

The final steps include key handover and preparation of an inspection form. This ensures
transparent handling of the transition of responsibilities and documentation of the condition of the property on handover.
